Description
A painting of the fairy tale. A few months ago I read Patricia Wrede's retelling, Snow White and Rose Red. Overall I was a little disappointed by the novel. It had such a strong start, but it was stretched too thin with the numerous villains that I didn't give a hoot about. I wanted to know more about the sisters and their mother and the Fey brothers, but in the end, they were hardly developed! Still, I love the original tale and some of the elements of the novel.

I've always liked this fairytale but I've never come across any novel retelling of it. It's a shame that the book you describe wasn't that good because the story has a lot of potential. I've always liked Rose Red more. Dunno why, their roles in the story are so similar!
