Description

Robin McKinley's Deerskin has had a lasting effect on me. I keep thinking about it, and having the urge to create art about it. This is a painting inspired by the most beautiful passages in the book, when the Princess Lissar/Deerskin/Moonwoman is described running in the moonlight with her hounds.

Expect more Deerskin art--possibly a Prince Ossin.

So beautiful! I'm so glad that someone made fan art of this novel. I'm on the last 40 pages and was curious to see how other readers had pictured Lissar and her pack. Your illustration is better and far more complete than what I had in my head. Thank you so much for sharing! 🥰
